Silent Hour™ is a land‑rooted mindfulness practice born in Chattanooga—the city where I healed, listened, and learned to build intentional quiet into a daily rhythm. Rooted on Cherokee homeland and shaped by my own journey of stillness, Silent Hour™ has grown from a personal ritual into a global offering. Whether through hikes, workshops, the book, or the app, Silent Hour™ invites anyone, anywhere, to slow down, ground themselves, and reconnect with the deeper rhythms beneath everyday noise.

About N’nako Kandé
Background
N’nako Kandé is an award‑winning author, multidisciplinary artist, civic poet, and founder of Silent Hour™, a nature‑based mindfulness practice rooted in ceremony, ancestry, and nervous‑system healing. Born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire and now creating in Chattanooga, her work bridges cultures, landscapes, and inner worlds.
She has been featured in two international Cultural Cross Ties documentaries for Chattanooga Sister Cities — one with Tono, Japan and one with Accra, Ghana — where she served as a local storyteller and cultural representative connecting Chattanooga to global creative communities.
Her creative ecosystem includes her NaKbook™ journal collection, her books, her paintings, her African‑inspired prints, and her shea butter line, each reflecting her commitment to grounding, beauty, and ancestral connection.
In December 2026, she will premiere her first film, The Land Remembers, expanding her practice into cinematic ritual and land‑based storytelling.
Across poetry, visual art, ceremony, and intentional quiet, N’nako’s purpose remains the same: to help people slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home — in themselves, in nature, and in the world.
